Introducing a completely new Peek app

This summer, when all students and universities went on a long vacation, the Peek developer team has been busy. We’ve completely rebuilt the app with some major improvements.

Peek started three years ago within Wageningen University & Research as a small project with a limited budget. The app was immediately successful, and as the number of users grew, so did the desire for a more robust product with new functionalities.

Better service management

In the new version of the app it is easier to detect problems and solve them directly (remotely). The speed and performance has also increased, which is good news for you to continue to handle larger student numbers.

Renewed user experience

The complete rebuild of the app was also a good time to take a critical look at the user interface. With thousands of users now, we had a good idea of possible points for improvement. Our UX designers have started working on this and have created a new set-up in the familiar Peek identity.

The new design offers more space for the various screen sizes due to the positioning of the menu. It is also now easier to reopen and view questions that have already been answered.

For a complete overview of new functionalities, check out our Changelog.

Want to try the new app?

If you already have the app on your phone, it will update automatically. Of course, you can find the Peek app in the Apple App Store and on Google Play for Android.

We started to create demo excursions for new users to try Peek easily. At the moment we have a few demo trips available for free: check out this page. Unfortunately only in The Netherlands yet. If you’re not around, feel free to contact us – we’re happy to help you with a custom demo trip in your own neighbourhood!
